I'm going to share this with my students. Personally, I would never want to use a mouse like this. I need simple!

So funny how you posted this as I just received an article from SLJ (School Library Journal) that discusses this very topic--from School Librarians' point of view. Here is the link:

Hi Matthew,
That is SO cool! The newly built schools are getting all the new tech tools to teach with and us older buildings have to grovel to get funding.
I'd like to learn more about Mimio and possibly purchase one to demo at my school. Our school has 3 Smartboards, I am lucky to have one to use in the library. I was one of 3 members who applied for the Teacher Technology Leaders grant in our district--so we were able to receive basic tech tools to teach with. This sounds like an affordable solution.

Those are very good tools, however, in many cases those platforms are used just to allow the team to review the same document together in real-time and "be on the same page".
The recently launched free site http://www.showdocument.com does exactly that, quickly show documents to friends and colleagues.
It allows web meeting and co-browsing on any document, user uploads a document and invites friends to view it with him live
All the participants in the session see each others' drawing, highlights, etc.

I attended your presentation at Texas High School last week and was inspired by the wealth of ideas and resources you provided. Thank you.

Although I retired from the district three years ago, I work in a part-time capacity as the district's competitive grant writer. Our Superintendent, James Henry Russell, is really anxious for us to find funding for the Gnomi program which will combine school-hosted social networking, individual student digital portfolios, and school culture support through Kids at Hope. I would appreciate any resources you might suggest for finding funding sources.

Incredibly interesting. I have to say that as a teacher, a little competition is a good thing, but our students are getting tired of being compared in a negative way to China. It should be about working together like Mr. Tabarrok says in his video. About spreading those idea leaders around, sharing the responsibility for being the leader.
